Ordering Scania Packaging Material
The required quantities of packaging materials should be called-off by you not later than two weeks before the day they are needed. (Ordering any day in week A will be delivered any day in week C. Late ordering can mean that:
• You may not be able to receive your packaging in time needed.
• We send the packaging materials by “receiver pays” freight.
• Repetitive late orders are noted and reported to Supplier Packaging Control.
Other packaging materials and consumables needed for the packaging materials, e.g. labels for green and blue boxes, plastic straps, corrugated cardboard, plastic bags, rust inhibitor paper, etc. must be procured and paid for by the supplier.
Broken/damaged material deviations
If you receive a delivery of empty packaging materials which includes broken or damaged material, you should create a deviation in Embasy together with pictures of the damaged packaging, if you have the possibility to scrap, mark the tick box with yes. Scania Packaging Planning will contact you via email if they need more info regarding the deviation.
Shortages of material
Contact Scania Packaging Planning and explain the situation and the consequences. Scania Packaging Planning will help you to solve the situation.
Return of material
If you have Scania packaging materials that you no longer have use for, you can create a return order in Embasy under Order and choose “Create Return Order”. When you have created the return, send an email with pictures, reason for return and order number to Scania Packaging Planning. They will then plan the order or reply to you if they have further questions. When the return order are planned for pick up you will receive an automatic email with pick up date and instruction to print return order documents.
